WHAT IT EATS Bees use nectar and pollen from some kinds of plants to make honey and other things for the hive to eat. In the process, bees act as pollinators for these plants. This lets them make fruit and seeds. Some kinds of plants require bees or other pollinators to survive and cannot reproduce or make fruit without them. Each bee can visit 50-100 flowers per day. Bees prefer some kinds of plants to others. They like clover, alfalfa and dandelions as well as many kinds of fruit plants, like raspberries, and strawberries. |
