On the top, an arm muscle contracts and pulls the bones up. On the bottom, a rubber band connecting two straws does the same thing. This is a physical model of how a muscle works, because there's a real touchable thing standing in for other real touchable things that act in a similar way. The models made in Vmodel are not physical. Instead they show the parts and the processes at work.
