UNDERSTANDING VMODEL

What is a model? Why should I do modeling?

A model is something that is made to help people understand something better. All models can be used to answer questions or to make explanations.

There are different kinds of models. Some models, like model airplanes, look like the thing that is being modeled. Those kinds of models can help answer questions about what the different parts of a thing are, or how it is constructed. Other kinds of models might not look like the thing that is being modeled at all, but they might help show how it works, like when someone uses a rubber band attached to two straws to explain how a muscle works. What does a Vmodel model show?

Vmodel models do not look like the things that they are modeling. But making a model with Vmodel should help you explain why things are happening or help you figure out what might make a change happen.

Vmodel models show how processes affect things so that something happens. Users of Vmodel can look at these interactions and see if they explain a change in the real world.
