VMODEL
UNDERSTANDING VMODEL

WHAT SHOULD BE IN A VMODEL MODEL?

Your model can get pretty big and complicated, but it doesn't have to be.

At a bare minimum, your model should have

A model target--this is the reason you are making the model--it is the thing you are trying to explain.

The stuff in the system and how they relate to each other Your model should include:

At least one process. Unless you have a process, nothing can happen or change in your model.

At least one basic object. Most models have more than one. You can make new described basic objects or reuse ones that you have made and put in the library.

  Parameters describing your basic objects.

At least one increases or decreases link. Unless you have an increases or decreases link, nothing is changing in your model. You can have other links as well that connect basic objects or pass on the influences from the increases and decreases.

A prediction abut some parameter in your model.
