Connecting
the basic objects and processes in your model
Once you have all the basic objects and processes you think you want in your model, you can use the arrows to connect up different basic objects to each other.
You can make different kinds of connections:
Connectors: (Part of, Contains, Does, Touches)
These connect basic objects to each other. They help you describe the situation better.
Causes: (Increases, decreases, influences, influences opposite)
These relators help you show what is causing the change in the model target. All causes show how the processes in your model affect parameters. They let you get feedback from the coach when you're done.
Comparers: (Greater than, less than, equals)
These arrows compare the size or magnitude of parameters.
There are rules about what kind of connection you can use. (See the model building
block help for what these are.) If you make a mistake connecting
things while you are building your model, the builder will let you know, by
changing his face to look puzzled or angry. If you do everything right, he
will smile.
