How to add and use basic objects and processes in your model

When you are in build mode, you can add a basic object or process to your model by clicking on the kind of thing it is in the library. Then click on the screen where you want it to go. The bottom of the box shows what kind of basic object it is, you write the specific name for it in the top. Double click on it and then write your name for it in the box.

Each basic object type also has a black arrow box on it next to its label. That is there to tell you what kind of arrow to use with it. (See using arrows for more information.)

Each basic thing or process will come with a colored shell around it. When you add parameters to the basic things, the parameters will also be surrounded by this color. That way, you can tell at a glance which describers and parameters belong to which basic objects. If you want to change the color of the skin, right click on the basic object.

Click here to see how to add parameters to the basic objects.

When you build the model, you can relate them to each other connectors links. Click here for how.

Once you describe a basic object, you might want to add it to the library and reuse it. When you reuse something from the library, you add it just like a regular basic object. When it comes out, it will have your parameter.
