Modes

When you make your Vmodel model, you will go through several different modes. You will know what mode you're in by looking at the top of the model building panel. (See a screen shot.) The background color of the model panel will change depending on what mode you're in.

You do an important part of the modeling process in each mode.

Target. The background is white. The bottom of the panel (where you write) is in your color. In this mode, make a target for the model. The screen looks like this.

Build: The background is blue. In this screen, you describe your object, connect your objects and processes with each other, and make predictions. The screen looks like this:

The coach looks like a builder. He smiles if you put your model together right. If any of your links are wrong, the link will turn red and the coach will look puzzled.

Analysis: The background is green. In this screen you can find out if your model explains your predictions, and how each of your parameters are changing.

The coach looks like the professor. He smiles if your model explains your predictions.
