How
do I make an unclear model clearer?
Sometimes in a real system, a parameter might get increased by one process and decreased by another at the same time.
This can happen wither when an increases and decreases hits it at the same time, or when two influences links change it in opposite directions.
When your model shows two arrows change a parameter in opposite directions, it won't be clear to the professor which way the parameter is changing. When the professor finds a situation like this, he will make the parameter and the influences red and tell you about it.
You can resolve an ambiguity two ways: You can either just tell the professor which way its changing by right clicking on it, or you can say that one arrow is stronger or weaker than the others. In this case, we know that if you fill a bathtub, it increases the amount of water more than evaporation will, so we can change the strength of the arrows.
Once we do this, the decreases link gets smaller, and the coach can tell that the amount of water is going up.
